FriendsJim and I were hangar-mates for many years. We had a great flight around the Rogue Valley. I 'd been hoping to get together and fly with Jim for over a year and finally had the chance. He's a heck of a nice guy and he let me keep Blue safe and dry in his beautiful hangar.

FriendsHere's Charlie flying over his home town. He's heading us towards a practice area to do some steep turns and chandelles. He's a student right now and with just a little practice I'm sure he will make a great pilot.

FriendsBruce and Gary (on the right) are friends of mine from high school. We buzzed up over Crater Lake at around 10,000' one warm afternoon for a nice view of the deepest lake in the USA.
Gary loved flying so much that he later learned to fly and bought his own airplane!

Here's Cody having a
great time at the wheel. I'd bet this guy will have his own airplane someday! For me, this is what flying is all about. Having fun in the sky is the best thing to do with an airplane - much better than just getting from point A to point B quicker than a car.

FamilyMom is our passenger in the front seat. If Blue's back seat isn't full of humans, our sled dogs get to come along. Nimbus is sitting in the back seat on his first flight.
The Samoyed breed is know to be very friendly. Our dogs enjoy a flight to the beach as much as we do. The Nimbus (on your left) and Lightning have their own website at
Pacific Crest Samoyeds.

FriendsWe met our friend Jim at a small airport in Merlin, Oregon on a sunny morning and enjoyed a leisurely flight along the Rogue River. Jim is about six and a half feet tall and recently had his knee joints replaced, so it took him a little while to get through the small pilot's door. Once inside it was like coming home for him. Jim logged over a thousand flying hours in this area, but hadn't flown since the early 1980s when he sold his plane.
It's always a pleasure to see an experienced pilot dust off their wings. I'm really glad to be able to do things like this and hope some kid feels the same way when I need a little dusting.
